The Endosymbiotic Theory of Matter and Thought
@musterion99 - There is evidence of a relationship between matter and thoughts. what evidence is there can be thoughts with no relationship to matter? I think one may use the phenomenon of outer body experiences (OBE) as evidence but I've readies studies that demonstrate OBE to be nothing more than an illusion or hallucination created by specific stimuli. That OBE is an illusion is easier to believe given the plethora of illusions that get us: the curve ball, the static becomes animate, let there be colors, the phantom phones, phantom limbs, and more.

I agree that it appears to be that
way, but can't be proven. In Quantum Mechanics we observe things that
are beyond our complete understanding, so I think it's possible for a
soul and spirit to exist.
@musterion99 - I always wondered why more people didn't use QM to try and prove god/spirituality. It's got much bigger gaps than biology does at the moment.
@GodlessLiberal - Well, you obviously can't prove God, but I think it opens up more doors to the possibility of a soul/spirit/and something else out there that's beyond our present comprehension.

@musterion99 - I think quantum mechanics as a door opener for the existence of the supernatural is wishful thinking. I love how creationists are so hard on the science that is deemed fact (evolutionary biology) or the age of the universe, yet they take the science we have the least understanding of and turn it into their supernatural can opener.
